Terms & Conditions for Reflexology, Sound Healing events and Women’s Circles:

Medical conditions

There are certain medical conditions not suitable for these sessions. Please be aware of this before booking. If you would like to discuss beforehand, please call me if you have any questions about these on 07470250471. Please do not email or text as I am unable to hold electronic medical data, which includes queries and questions relating to any medical conditions. 

Sound healing

The rhythm of the sound helps slow the brain waves which in turn allows the heart rate and breathing to slow, blood vessels to relax and open. You should therefore not attend a soundbath if you have any unmanaged heart or circulation issues (risk of aneurysm, known aneurysm, recent stroke, heart surgery, stents etc).

Anyone who is less than 3 months pregnant should contact me beforehand to discuss whether a soundbath is suitable.

The physical vibrations of the instruments are gentle but can be felt and so any recent bone breakages could be affected by the gentle vibrations. If you have a history of epilepsy, tinnitus, unmanaged mental illness, have a pacemaker or are dealing with trauma or an emotional life event, please get in touch beforehand to discuss if a Soundbath is right for you.

Being under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs are contraindications and you should not attend the Soundbath if these apply.

Reflexology & reiki

You should not have reflexology and reiki if you any of the below apply:

Cellulitis, Contagious conditions, Under the influence of alcohol or drugs, Imminent pending medical tests, Unstable heart condition, recent surgery, Known risk of DVT (higher risk if recently been on a long haul flight), Unstable heart conditions (angina, atrial fibrillation, heart attack), Circulatory issues (Heart condition, high/low blood pressure, heamophilia). If you are less than 3 months pregnant, please contact me to discuss.

Red Tent Soundbath Gatherings

These are information-giving events and as part of these, I share my personal cycle stories which to some, can be relatable and resonate deeply. Naturally, people want to share and this is completely welcomed but these are experiences are personal to the individual sharing them and it is your own responsibility to seek medical or professional guidance and take responsibility for the way you manage your health or symptoms.

Booking and payment process

Please book your treatment or session using the online booking page. Payment is taken at the point of booking. The booking will then be accepted by me. If the booking cannot be accepted, a full refund is processed. 

Terms & Conditions for Chapter Organics Products:

Online payment is via banks transfer. Once payment is made, collection or shipment will be arranged.

Price

All Prices are quoted in sterling and are inclusive of VAT. Postage prices will be charged in addition unless stated otherwise. Clients who have attended an event or treatment within a month of purchase will receive a 20% discount on all Chapter Organics products.

Amendments

If you need to make a change to the product please contact me asap but I cannot guarantee the change can be made.

Any information passed through to Ella Dewhirst is managed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. If a customer wishes for their information to be removed from my database, this should be requested by email to ellajdewhirst@yahoo.com

Credit card details are not retained. The only information stored is a customer's transaction history, name, address & e-mail address.

You can enable privacy settings in your browser to restrict tracking cookies. Because I respect “do-not-track” privacy settings, those who opt-out may show open and click activity, but will not have activity tracked.

Late Arrivals

Reflexology

If you are late, your session will be shorter to accommodate the clients booked in after you. Depending on how much of your session remains, I will decide on whether there is enough time for a treatment. You will still be responsible for paying for the full amount of the treatment.

Soundbath

The session will start promptly and due to the nature of the event, late arrivals cannot be permitted. The door will be locked so as not to disturb the start of the event so please do not try to gain entry.

Aftercare & Advice

Make sure if at all possible that you don’t have a hectic day planned after reflexology, reiki or a soundbath and give your body the chance to restore and recover. Drink plenty of water and reduce your caffeine/alcohol intake that day and try to find some time to relax if that’s what your body needs.

You may experience some side effects after your treatment such as tiredness, headache, fogginess, slight nausea. This indicates that your body is responding to the session and rebalancing and eliminating toxins. Reflexology, reiki and sound healing work on many levels of the body, from the physical to emotional and beyond and some effects are unknown. Occasionally, an emotional release can happen which is a normal part of the healing process, so try to give yourself space for the feelings that come up. Not everyone experiences side effects, but if you’re at all concerned, please get in touch.

Any information given about anything that could support you such as other therapies to try or lifestyle changes are educational and for information only. It is your responsibility to seek medical or professional guidance and take responsibility for the way you manage your health or symptoms. 

Gender 

I honour and respect the diversity of all identities. I welcome bookings from all female-identifying clients including transgender, non-binary, gender queer, bi gender, pan gender or gender fluid who are comfortable in a woman-centered space for reflexology and reiki and for the Red Tent Gatherings. Male clients of friends and family are welcome to book reflexology and reiki. All gender identities are welcome to attend my soundbaths.
